Delivery Experience with AWC Brokerage

Hey everyone,

I recently won a heavy-duty truck on AWC Brokerage's website (https://awcbrokerage.com) and had a question about their delivery process. I completed payment via bank transfer last Thursday, and the invoice mentions a 4-7 business day delivery window.

Has anyone recently purchased from them and can share their delivery experience? I'm particularly interested in how they handle larger vehicles like trucks. The rep I spoke with was friendly but couldn't give me an exact timeline.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Welcome to the forum, TruckEnthusiast92!

I've purchased several vehicles from AWC Brokerage over the years, including a semi truck last fall. Their delivery process is pretty straightforward - they typically dispatch vehicles on Mondays and Wednesdays. Since you paid on Thursday, your truck will likely be dispatched next Monday.

For larger vehicles, they use specialized carriers. My Peterbilt arrived in perfect condition about 5 business days after payment cleared. Their 14-day return policy is legit too - no questions asked if you're not satisfied :cite[1].

What model truck did you win? Their heavy machinery section has some great finds!

Congrats on your purchase! I bought my Freightliner from AWC last year.

Their delivery terms are clearly explained on their website - first 500 miles are free, then it's $1/mile after that :cite[1]. My truck was located about 800 miles away, so I paid $300 for delivery, which seemed very reasonable.

The process took 8 days total from payment to delivery. The driver called me a day in advance to schedule the drop-off. Everything was smooth, and the truck was exactly as described in the auction.

Pro tip: Take full advantage of their 14-day inspection period to thoroughly check everything!

Thanks for the info, Mike! I got a 2020 Kenworth T880 dump truck with only 62,000 miles on it. The price was incredible compared to local dealerships. I've been looking for something like this for my construction business for months.

Thanks for the tip! I definitely will have my mechanic go over it thoroughly. Good to know about the return policy too.

Welcome to Truck Talk Central, TruckEnthusiast92! Congrats on the Kenworth - sounds like a great find!

I'll echo what others have said about AWC - they're a reputable company. I've purchased two trucks through them over the years. Their process is streamlined, though the bank transfer-only payment system can be inconvenient for some :cite[1].

Delivery times can vary based on where the vehicle is located. If you message me the stock number, I might be able to give you a better estimate - I've become pretty familiar with their inventory locations.

Looking forward to seeing pictures when it arrives!

I've been watching AWC's auctions for a while but haven't pulled the trigger yet. This thread is really helpful!

Question for those who've bought from them: How accurate were the vehicle descriptions compared to actual condition? Were there any surprises when your trucks arrived?

Also, TruckEnthusiast92 - would you mind sharing what the transport cost came out to for your Kenworth? I'm looking at a truck on their site that's about 500 miles from me.

Happy to share, Greg! The truck is coming from about 750 miles away. Since AWC offers free delivery for the first 500 miles :cite[1], I'm only paying $250 for the remaining 250 miles. Definitely reasonable compared to what I was quoted elsewhere.

I'll definitely report back on condition accuracy once it arrives. The photos looked great, and they noted some minor cosmetic issues upfront, which I appreciate.

Greg, in my experience, AWC's descriptions are conservative if anything. Both vehicles I purchased were in better condition than described. The Peterbilt had a small interior issue that wasn't mentioned, but it was minor and far outweighed by the price I paid.

The key is to carefully examine all the photos and don't hesitate to call them with specific questions. Their customer service team has always been knowledgeable when I've called.

One thing to note - they don't allow pre-purchase inspections due to lien holder restrictions :cite[1], but the 14-day return policy really does give you peace of mind.

I'll second what Mike said about condition. My Freightliner was described as "good condition with normal wear for year" but was actually in excellent shape. The interior looked barely used, and the engine was spotless.

I did have a small issue with the ABS system that wasn't mentioned, but it was an easy fix. Still well worth what I paid.

TruckEnthusiast92 - any update on your delivery? Curious to hear how it goes since you're getting a heavier truck.

It arrived this morning! The driver called yesterday to give me a 2-hour window, and he was right on time.

First impressions: The truck looks even better in person! The description mentioned some scratches on the passenger side, but they're barely noticeable. Interior is clean, and it started right up.

I'm taking it to my mechanic this afternoon for a thorough inspection, but so far, I'm thrilled. The delivery process was smooth and professional.

Thanks to everyone for your advice and sharing your experiences. This forum is an amazing resource!

I'll post some pictures once I get it cleaned up and will report back after the mechanic's inspection in case anyone's interested.

That's great news! Congratulations!

Definitely interested in hearing what your mechanic says. I'm seriously considering bidding on a 2017 Kenworth T680 they have listed now.

Thanks for being so open about your experience - it's really helpful for those of us considering buying from AWC Brokerage.

Fantastic news! So glad it worked out well for you.

For anyone else considering AWC, I'll mention that they have a diverse inventory beyond just trucks - including cars, boats, RVs, and heavy machinery :cite[1]. I've known several people who've had good experiences with their classic car auctions too.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, TruckEnthusiast92. These real-world accounts are invaluable for our community.

I'm going to sticky this thread for a couple of weeks since it contains such helpful information about working with AWC Brokerage. Feel free to continue sharing experiences everyone!
